We took the kids to the beach last week - they were really interested to learn how to skimboard. 

We had a gorgeous day for it - 70 degrees and not windy, not crowed, and the sun peeked out after the fog burned off. 

We also saw dolphins so close up to the shore we couldn't believe it! Plus a bonus sea lion and sea otter. It was a great day.

Abby and Shelby must have each had over 100 runs on the skimboard. They just kept going for hours. Which is good because unlike them I need breaks!

This past week I was in Vegas for two events. It was a fun time but I'm very ready to go home and see my family.

I got a really good rate at Trump Towers. Affiliate Summit was held at the Wynn, which was within walking distance.

I ate dinner at Paris one night with James and Arlene Martell and a bunch of other very nice people.

All in all it was a great event, I learned a lot and met a lot of great people too!

One of my favorite things about Posterous is that they've made it super easy to post to your blog.

Just send an email with attachments and Posterous almost magically figures out what to do with it.

Now they've made it even easier with the new iPhone app. I can manage and update any of my sites from here. I can see myself using this app way more than PicPosterous.

Thursday I went to a happy hour event at Duarte Design to see Garr Reynolds present some of the ideas from his upcoming new book, The Naked Presenter.

Garr's Presentation Zen is one of my favorite books on presentation and design. So I didn't want to miss the chance to meet him and see his presentation. It was great to meet Garr and see some friends there as well. His presentation was outstanding. Plus, luckily I won the prize - a cool Presentation Zen "bento box" full of creative stuff and videos!

I also got a sneek peek at Nancy Duarte's upcoming book: Resonate. I've attended Nancy's Slide:ology workshop and love her approach to crafting compelling presentations. Resonate is going to go into depth on one of my favorite parts of the class - creating a compelling "story" for your presentation. I pre-ordered this one - it looks great.
